While new features have been sparse for the last week lots of back end changes to Traskpro have been occurring to make the site faster and better for it’s users. In addition getting out of some the old ‘painted into a corner’ bugs fixed architecturally a lot of minor tweaks to the user interface have occurred.

Most noticeably a lot of content updates have occurred which change the messaging on the log in page, emails sent to users, and other small tweaks that should help make Traskpro a little easier to get into for new users. A lot of this content is thanks to Alissa, the Traskpro writing goddess.

Alissa also had some cool ideas for documentation and use cases so keep an eye out here on the blog for some more formal user stories, how-to’s, and general self help for Traskpro beginners and power users alike!

Traskpro has received the greatest gift (aside from world peace or a multi-billion dollar corporate buyout) in the form of a giant pile of feedback. Our gracious benefactor is uber user interface expert Jake and his contribution was delivered in the form of a 24 page user experience review of Traskpro crammed to the brim fantastically useful comments and ideas.

While Traskpro in its current incarnation is an extremely powerful and flexable solution it’s plainly obvious that beauty is not one of its key strengths. In the next two weeks that should be changing - not many changes will be published out to production in the near term as most of the UI changes being planned are major enough to take more than an evenings idle coding.

As Traskpro’s user base grows the question of monetization has arisen. In the past we have had great success with AdSense and are experimenting with it here in order to keep Traskpro a free service forever.

AdSense is added on a per-user basis with all new users having AdSense advertisements turned on. Valued members of the Traskpro community will have opportunities to have ads removed from their account. To have ads removed from your account send us an email with feedback - any users sending in usable feedback or who otherwise help to make Traskpro better will also have the advertisements immediately and permanently removed.

On the topic of making Traskpro better we are seeking a Graphic Designer or other UI specialist for an upcoming user interface redesign code named ‘aeron’. Send us email if you or someone you know might be interested in helping out. Stay tuned for more details.

A quick note - Traskpro values your privacy and has taken special measures to keep your task data safe and private. A system has been developed to allow the AdSense crawler to see aggregate tag information to allow for targeting while not providing user-specific data or personal information to 3rd parties.
